Internship description:

During the internship students will have the opportunity to examine penetration through the skin using a variety of techniques such as franz cells, skin PAMPA and Raman spectroscopy. The student will learn to apply these techniques and evaluate the results.

Techniques used during the internship:

There are various methods regarding of the testing of topical dosage forms among the services provided by the research group. The team provides rheological measurements of semisolid and liquid preparations and investigation of mucoadhesive properties. There is a possibility for in vivo testing of the water content of the stratum corneum, the transepidermal water loss, in vitro drug diffusion through synthetic membranes and drug penetration through heat-separeted human epidermis. Charcterization of skin structure and drug penetration with RAMAN spectroscopy is also possible.
